In the pre-forming operation of stators it is very important that the copper end windings are  formed down to a suitable size prior to the lead connection and lacing operations.

Stators are mounted in a support cup and automatically loaded and unloaded in and out of the working area. The coil forming end rings are powered by hydraulic cylinders which are controlled by a highly accurate electronic reading system to govern the length of travel. This movement is fully programmable to cater for different stator stack lengths.

Whether it be a vertical coil forming machine or a horizontal coil forming machine, it is completely possible to integrate either the SF or FO range of machines into an automatic line.

As always, high quality workmanship, mechanical and electrical components are used in the machine and tooling construction providing every customer with a solid and reliable production machine.
